"The pictures of this hotel are misleading. This is a case of greed over service and quality.
The staff we interacted with were genuinely caring and helpful. We couldn't ask for better service. Unfortunately, this does not make up for the shortfalls.
1) Be aware, the hotel is located in an alleyway. You would need to pull your luggage from the main road as cars can’t drive to the entrance of the hotel.
2) The free breakfast is NOT served at the hotel. You need to walk to another hotel, where there are 3 tables of 2 and 3 tables of 4. Plan your excursions accordingly; account for the walk back and forth and potential wait time, given the limited number of tables. The food tastes terrible - I recommend that you skip it altogether and grab something off the street.
3) The interior is small and old. I don’t know why some reviews suggest that this place is clean. I find it smelly and dirty.
4) While it is fairly quiet inside the room, you can hear the water through the pipes whenever your neighbours are showering or flushing the toilets.
5) Great location - walking distance to many restaurants.
Needless to say, I do not recommend this place. It is overpriced; you should really consider other options.
Edit: After a couple of nights, we were offered to move to the top floor. The room is roomier, cleaner and there are no smell. A much better experience!"
"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel and could not recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone was extremely helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring — nothing was ever too much trouble.
A special mention has to go to the hotel manager, Thomas, who is without a doubt one of the friendliest and most professional hotel managers we have come across in all our travels. It was amazing how he remembered guests by name and always took the time to speak with everyone personally, making the experience feel very special and personal.
Sarah was wonderful during check-in, providing us with lots of useful information about Hanoi and helping us settle in straight away. Lily was also incredibly kind and recommended some fantastic local restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay.
The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the rooms were exceptional — spacious, comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. The restaurants in the hotel were excellent, and the à la carte breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choice.
The location was also perfect, close to all the shops, attractions, and amenities, making it very easy to explore Hanoi.
Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations and truly made our trip memorable. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi and would definitely stay here again in the future. A definite 11/10!!"
"The staff were so friendly and helpful . I had booked a smoking balcony room not realising this. They changed our room for a non smoking bigger room ."
"Located on a busy side street adjacent to major construction, access to the hotel can be a little problematic with traffic. Sound insulation in the rooms is not perfect. We were on the 9th floor and still heard street noise (as well as guests in adjacent rooms). Decor looks glam in photos but is actually quite tacky and a little cheap looking. That said, room was very clean and very comfortable. Pool and rooftop bar are both really nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent. "
