Where to stay in Japan
Welcome, seekers of Japan Accommodation
The uniqueness of Japan can be found not just in the people’s culture, but the blend of a constantly evolving future and a firm traditional past that’s seen in many cities. Travellers will find that in Japan, accommodation is in abundance, and easy to sort through on our website.
There’s plenty to enjoy in all parts of Japan. In Tokyo, feast your eyes on a high tech cityscape with a wide array of shopping malls and exquisite restaurants. Whether it’s branded apparel or Michelin star cuisine, you can find it here. Then there is Kyoto, an ancient city that is sure to tug at heart strings of culture seekers and history buffs. Here visitors can explore Buddhist shrines, historical buildings and dine on more traditional foods in quaint shop houses.
Things to seeTravellers in Tokyo can start browsing the modern architecture and landmarks like Tokyo Tower, which provides an excellent view of the surrounding city and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building, which is the highest spot in Tokyo. Then there’s the Rainbow bridge in Odaiba that contributes to a spectacular night view, appreciated by many photographers everywhere.
Those having a family vacation in Osaka will love sights like Kaiyukan, one of the world’s largest aquariums with a respectable collection of sea life, including a whale shark, dolphins, otters, seals, sharks and plenty of underwater creatures. During weekends, musicians and street performers provide added entertainment just outside the aquarium. Spa World is one of those attractions that delights the entire family, with gender-separated European and Asian themed spas and a pool for the entire family, with water slides for the kids. This place is open 24 hours and has an outdoor onsen and a bar that boasts a massive TV screen. Perfect for a refreshing beer after the spa treatment.
Hotels in JapanIn Japan, hotels are by no means rare, numbering by the thousands. They come in all shapes, sizes and most importantly, cater to all budgets, allowing both penny-pinchers and luxury lovers to find their ideal accommodations. Most of the budget and mid-range hotels are well equipped for a comfortable and fairly luxurious stay, and some are very conveniently located. The excellent infrastructure in Japan allows visitors to get around without a car, so convenience shouldn’t be a major concern. Service here is one of the best you can find in the world, so no worries about that aspect in Japan.
Where to stayShinjuku is the district for you if you’re looking at wild nightlife, futuristic skyscrapers and maximum retail therapy. There are hundreds of shops here, with some of the biggest camera stores you’ll ever find. You can even find one of Tokyo’s remaining geisha districts in Kagurazaka, as well as highly reputable French and Italian restaurants.
In Kyoto, we would be partial to hotels in downtown district for two reasons: you would be within walking distance to Northern and Southern Higashiyama which happen to be two of Kyoto’s top tourist spots and also be conveniently located near top restaurants, bars, shops and subways lines.
How to get to TokyoCitizens of several countries can get into Tokyo without a visa, for stays of up to 90 days. Selected European countries can stay for up to 180 days if proper notice is given. Most international flights can be served by airports like Narita Airport, Kansai Airport and Haneda Airport. The cities are well connected via rail, so moving between cities is easy if you’re exploring the entire country.
