The property was being renovated whilst we were there. We booked the hotel primarily for fact that there was a pool onsite but this was not available. The whole hotel was being painted and so there was sanding and painting going on at each floor. The hallway of our original room as being painted and the fume smell was terrible. We got moved to a different floor after we complained but even that hallway was being sanded and prepped for painting. There was no reduction in tariff for the inconvenience. The staff however were truly lovely and by no means are the issues I have raised a reflection of their efforts in trying to accommodate under such trying conditions. The hotel should not be operating whilst they are doing all these works!
