Loved the shared spaces, kids loved the cinema room and board fames. Breakfast was good awesome to have someone making omlets for us. We had a family room for 4 and there was plenty of space. Easy to find, just off the motorway and a short down hill walk to the water front.

Great hostel. Very clean. Excellent bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Terrific staff. Easy to find from the motorway. Parking is a bit difficult but not much can be done about that there's just no more room. Only niggle - would have liked a desk or table in the room for laptop.

Comfy accommodation. Generally good. Cut above standard.

Should be marketed as backpacker. Not suitable as motel. Very noisy at night. Floor squecks.

Exceptional 10.0
The staff were excellent hosts especially Noah. He was always very helpful and courteous which we really appreciated. Loved the breakfast system to help ourselves with everything right there for us to cook. Loved the movie room..that was so cool. We especially loved the photos throughout the hostel especially the Maori photos...they were beautiful meaningful and we were proud and humbled at the same time to see these. Our only complaint was our stay was too short. Didnt like leaving.

Expensive and noisy...If you think of paying up for a bit of quality, think again! A backpack is a backpack... the walls are thin, the place is small...'long term' residences are loud at night, and at the very early morning there are again noises everywhere...
