I was excited to have observed a helicopter land on a private yacht right out of my hotel window. Also two Canadian fleet ships were docked within view of our hotel widow.
We experienced all the activities on the harbor during the Saturday afternoon.
There are many very good shops and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Being above a farmers and crafts market was awesome.
I'm looking forward to my next visit!"

"What you're paying for is convenience. The location is fairly close to most attractions (I.E. Stanley Park or Granville Island) which makes travelling to those places easier. There is plenty of access to public transportation like the Skytrain or buses.
However, if you get a rear facing room prepare for the bright lights of the skytrain station directly behind the building to illuminate your room at all hours of the night. Also, the beds are not the most comfortable either. The room as a whole...

"Our stay started out with being told that the transportation to the cruise terminal had to be pre-booked. They offer free transportation to the cruise terminal is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. There is nothing in their literature that says that and when I spoke to the staff prior to arrival it was not told to me. They did put us on the pickup list for transportation at 11:30, there is a reason I posted the time.
Then our room had no air conditioning and they couldn't offer us another...

"Staying right at the airport at the Fairmont was amazing. The rooms were quiet, clean and up to date. The convenience of being able to catch an early morning flight was well worth the extra money. The soaking tub was nice and big making for a relaxing night before a hectic day of travel. "

The lounge served excellent food including truffle ravioli, shrimp stuffed mushrooms, and braised beef over vegetables. I stayed one Friday night, so this was a perfect ending for a hard work week. "

The place needs upgrades for sure- windows broken, broken tables, broken doors etc.
Bedding and tub clean but the rest of the place looked/felt unclean.
