De Barones Van Leyden was a great family stay
Amazing small boutique hotel with a great location - walking distance to markets, train station and right opposite the canal. Hedo, the caretaker is available in the mornings and on the phone when required to answer any questions. Breakfast charge is extra and Hedo doubles as a chef - the egg preparations were very good. Wine menu is limited but one can easily walk to the many bars nearby. The rooms were great and super comfy. All in all, a great place to stay, even though a tad expensive considering it’s not a full service hotel.
