A very friendly welcome when we arrived. The property is in a quiet street within easy walk of the Hoe, Barbican and the city centre. Parking can be difficult, but there were spaces when we arrived. Instructions are sent by the owner after booking, but it basically involves a pass for some free parking and paying for the rest.
The room was very clean and comfortable, and we had a great nights sleep. There is a shower in the ensuite, but as this is only protected by a shower curtain, the floor got quite wet, even beyond the curtain. We had a room with a double bed and a single bed, and the description had the phrase 'separate bedroom'. This made me think that the single bed was separate, but it was in the main room. Not an issue for the two of us, but worth bearing in mind if there are three of you,
Breakfast was good, with a choice of cereals, toast, juice and cooked breakfast. However, it was let down by a lack of pastries and a low quality sausage.
Overall, we enjoyed our great value stay and would come again if in the area.
