Cheeky Hotel break
Remember staying at this hotel many years ago, still look good, lovely reception staff and vibrant bar, thought we'd have a nice break given the present issues

Hotel experience
It was good experience, the food good however a bit pricey however enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable and room spacious. Staff were polite and courteous. I woukd havevexpected a complementary bottle of water in thr room rather than pay £2.00.

Manchester Malmaison stay
I booked the Manchester Malmaison for myself and my wife along with my son and girlfriend. I booked the Saturday which was more expensive than normal but as it turned out it was because the Manchester derby was on the Sunday so the hotel was booked with your regular Man U supporters, German, Norwegian and Irish ! I booked the hotel because I regularly stat in the Malmaison in Aberdeen which is spot and and have also stopped in the Mal in Dundee and Leeds and found them all very good. The Manchester hotel was very disappointing compared to the others in the chain. The rooms were smaller and very tired. Waited for an age to get served at breakfast and when they finally arrived all 4 were Luke warm and not well cooked (fried eggs were hard)all in all I wasn’t impressed with the hotel at all probably due to the high standards in the other especially the Aberdeen hotel.

My first choice when staying in a Manchester hotel
Always my first choice to stay when visiting Manchester. Efficient, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and a couple of minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station.

It had a seedy feel to it - the pictures on the wall of women in their pants was a bit much

3 night business trip
Overall comfortable 3 night business trip. Good location. Room air conditioning is temperamental, chairs in the restaurant are filthy, gym is sparse, some items are very expensive. Meeting room booked was icy cold on arrival and refreshments were not ready or forthcoming giving our client a poor experience. Service was good as is the vibe.

Good 6.0
Disappointing. Too noisy.
I find if I book with the hotel always seems to give me one of the lesser desirable rooms such as the room by a lift or room with an adjoining door. Anyway this was one with an adjoining door so the noise from the next room was very clear. Unfortunately the people in the room were up until gone 5am playing music and having v loud sex which despite how many pillows you stuff over your head, you can still hear it all (impressive longevity but I am still traumatised!!!). People were coming in from nights out 3am shouting in the corridors. Barely slept at all, was a nightmare! To be fair Malmaison did knock us 2 cocktails off our bill which was mich appreciated but the noise level was extreme. So if you need somewhere to sleep from only 5am onwards its fine.
