Our trip to Mosquito Blue was incredible!
The Mosquito Blue is a lovely boutique hotel. It's located perfectly with access to 5th Avenue and the beach. We also thoroughly enjoyed our last meal at their restaurant. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend it.

Great location 2nd stay here and still love it.
Great hotel next to all the clubs and nightlife keep that in mind. The only thing is the T.V. is small for my taste and the bed is far from it. Other than that nothing but good reviews for this hotel. Will definitely stay again.

Nice Hotel, best location.
Overall, the hotel is very nice, the location is great because everything is near to the hotel (walking distance). If you need an additional bed for a third person, you have to book the junior suite (or higher) and call the hotel to specify that you are going to be 3 people in the same room. They don´t have a lot of additional beds so event if you put in your reservation comments you need one more bed, you have to confirm with the hotel to be sure. That was the only issue I had. The service, room, pool, etc are really nice.

Nice, but cold and uncofortable
My 21 year old daughter and I stayed there and at first we liked it but later were disappointed, we felt the bathroom and closet space very uncomfortable and the room extremely small.

Great Boutique Hotel
We've visited Mosquito Blue twice in the last 4 years, and likely, we'll visit again. It's a stylish base-camp for experiencing the charming town of Playa del Carmen and surrounding areas. The accommodations are exactly what I'm looking for in a hotel. The staff is courteous. The rooms are clean. The location is great. The beach club is close, convenient, and beautiful. The beach club restaurant makes a mean breakfast! Many reviews mention a noise issue, but we haven't had any issue with noise either time we've been. I love Mosquito Blue!

Good value for money
Plus: breakfast served on the beach, in the twin hotel Mosquito Beach. Great location directly on Quinta avenida. Nice pools and garden.
Cons: Internet (complimentary) was never working. Room looked clean but smelled of mold. Asked for two queen beds but got a king.

Great experience
We had an amazing time the hotel is beautiful. The only negative thing I have to say, is that the wifi didnt work for 3 days and when it worked in the room it was bad and slow. The overall experience was incredible.

Great boutique hotel with perfect options
Don't miss the breakfast option...the sister hotel is right on the beach and you get full privileges of it. People were great--service was top-notch, low-key and classy.

Hotel was charming and very upscale. A bit threadbare in spots but meticulously clean and the staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. Location was perfect (in town). Would definitely go back.

Don't drink the bottle of water in the room!!!
The clubs closer to the beach were quite noisy through the night...I could handle that!! What makes me mad is that the bottle of water in the room, which did not have a price tag, cost me $17 upon departure. I don't mind paying a bit more for water in the room, but that was outrageous!!! That was one fifth of the price od one night's stay. Ridiculous!! I said something to the girl at checkout, about how I felt totally ripped off, but she didn't seem to care. I've travelled the world and never paid more than $8 (at Four Seasons hotel) for a bottle of water, and that was in pure desperation and I knew the price before I took a sip.

Aweful hotel
Worse hotel ever and hyper expensive! I'm talking about room 201. The shower doesn't work properly (the water pressure and temperature increase or decreased every 15 seconds), difficult to flush the toilet, I complained because the A/C thermostat didn't work and the hotel staff toll me that no room had actual thermostat and the next day I saw a fancy and shiny functional Honeywell thermostat in another room, thanks to this we were unable to sleep (either freezing or sweating), they only had one wall plug to connect stuff and it was in the bathroom (no more, i had to disconnect the TV to charge my phone) and the worse part was the amount of noise that it was coming in because they didn't put a proper window.

Exquisite hotel in a great location.
This hotel was the highlight of our stay in Playa Del Carmen. It is an exquisite boutique hotel with lovely rooms. It's in a great location - right at the intersection of 5th Avenue and 12th Street (where all the nightlife is concentrated). Our rate included breakfast at their sister property - Mosquito Beach - which was a great spread. It also gave us access to the beach lounge chairs / beds at Mosquito Beach, which again is a huge plus. Ask for a quiet room at the back to avoid the noise from the nightclubs though.

My blackberry was stolen the first morning from my bedside talble while I was sleeping. If you are in room 208, be careful, the camera outside the room does not capture the door to 208 and I assume staff know this so they target the room. Otherwise it was a decent place to stay.

Adult Boutique hotel in Playa del Carmen
Great hotel and great location to 5 th where all the action is taking place. Sister hotel, Mosquito Beach, is just a short walk away for breakfast and complimentary beach access.
Would go back in a heart beat. Only down fall was club next door played music till 6:00 am which was on a Friday night. Would call before hand to see if this was a nightly occurrence.
