Highly recommended!
The owners were some of the most friendly, welcoming people I have met. Their English was great and I was able to understand them completely! The property is beautiful and a perfect option if you’re looking for a traditional stay. I would definitely stay again next time I’m in Kyoto.

An absolute highlight of our Japan trip. I would highly recommend staying here. The rooms, the inn and the hosts were amazing. I’d also recommend getting breakfast for the full Japanese experience. Thank you so much for an amazing stay

We can’t say enough about how exceptional this experience was for us. The family that own and operate the ryokan were unbelievably friendly and felt so welcoming. Everything screamed traditional, from the kimonos we were given to wear during our stay, to the unique Japanese breakfast we were given every morning that was as delicious as it was healthy. If you are looking for a way to experience real japan, then look no further.

This place was freaking amazing! The owners were simply amazing, they were super attentive and always was so happy to see us. Book this if you want to stay in a traditional hotel. There is only 3 rooms here, and there is a beautiful pond in the middle of the hotel. Also, this place has been here for MANY years and through 3 generations. Book a breakfast and a dinner, and you wont be sorry. I will be back if I come back to Kyoto!

My husband and I had a lovely 3-night stay. It was exactly the traditional experience I hoped to have. Breakfast was delicious -- the best miso soup I've ever had! The owners were very nice and accommodating. The wife let me practice my beginner Japanese with her and was very patient. The only downside was it was hard to get a time slot for the hot bath in the evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Traditional multi-generational family home. Excellent hospitality. We stayed 3 nights here when in Tokyo. It’s very close to the major train station but not so close that you hear the trains or subway. Large and varied Japanese breakfast was served every morning and we had the opportunity to enjoy these from two different rooms. Very nice inside garden with koi pond. It was 35c outside but the air conditioner kept the room at 20c inside. Best for guests with no mobility issues and who don’t mind sharing a bathroom on the main floor.

非常值得的住宿體驗
是家傳了140年的自家經營民宿,帶有少許時代感卻不失風雅。 店家們都非常親切和樂於助人,整體的體驗感非常舒適,很推薦大家去。

It is a family owned Ryokan (traditional Japanese Inn) and they truly treat you like family. I have never stayed somewhere with the level of service and kindness so high. It’s a unique experience I would highly recommend.
