The rooms are really comfortable, the location's great -- you have the market and the subway steps away and can easily walk to Gion. The hotel was located in a very convenient area with lots of transit, shopping and restaurants close by. The lobby was beautiful and we loved the drinks station. The donut shop under the hotel was very good and we bought breakfast there on multiple days. The room was a bit small, but likely standard for an Asian country. We loved that the hotel was off the Shinkyogoku street where there was lots of shopping and dining, yet the hotel was quite beautiful and peaceful. Our room was clean and spacious and we made good use of washer/dryer to replenish for rest of our trip. Great place to stay in Kyoto!
