This is a great property for families. We booked a superior quadruple room and it was spacious enough for us and the two kiddos. (4 people.) The room was minimalistic modern and nothing to write home about, but the beds are comfy and clean. Staff is very friendly and they have a nice breakfast with good coffee. The neighborhood is filled with local shops, cafes, and oddly lots of local restaurants serving non-Japanese cuisine. Italian seems to be plentiful here. If you are looking for Japanese food, no worries, just walk a block or two further east or south and you will be on the main tourist areas and Nishiki market. The location is also located in the center of 4 smaller subway stations. This was important to us as we did not want to walk through a large station with kids in tow. The Hankyu subway provides the easiest route to Osaka and Kobe, but not the fastest. The Keihan subway has a direct train to Nara.
