Why not catch an event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a major stadium in Tottenham. Our travellers also like this historical area for its riverfront setting. If you think Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is cool, you might also like Emirates Stadium and Lee Valley VeloPark, both located nearby.
If you want to see a show while you're in town, try and grab some tickets at Alexandra Palace in Haringey. Our travellers also like this historical area for its riverfront setting. If you enjoy the show and want to see another, O2 Forum Kentish Town, Roundhouse, and KoKo London are not far.
"Hotel was maybe 5/10 enough but the staff are incompetent to the point of fraudulence.
I extended my stay online and then staff told me they put the wrong price online so I had to pay the extra £350. I was tired because they had just woken me up to tell me this and I didn’t want to argue so I just did it. I should have just left then and there.
The guy at the counter kept asking me to pay for the extended stay, and then when I tried to pay for it, he told me he had to text the manager and kept me waiting at the counter for 15 - 20 minutes before I said I was leaving.
Later that day they came back to tell me I had to move rooms in the next 10 minutes because they had booked someone else into my room.
Then I moved into my next room, which was less than half the size, and didn’t have a washing machine (my initial reason for booking).
They kept knocking on my door in the mornings and waking me up, despite having my do not disturb sign on my door.
The security or fire alarm was going off in the lobby for several days, and they had technicians working on it several times when I went through the lobby. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night at one point, waking me up.
There was construction next to my second room.
The construction workers had been smoking outside throughout my stay and then the staff came to my bash on my door once again with my do not disturb sign up just to accuse me of smoking in the room"
"Clean room. Only a code to get in, flimsy front door with no way to lock from the inside. Paper-thin walls with guests playing loud music into the early hours."
"I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was disappointing.
One of the reasons I booked this property instead of an Airbnb was the expectation of basic hotel amenities and comfort. Unfortunately, the hotel advertised having a bar and restaurant, but neither was actually available during my stay. This felt misleading from the start.
The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioning. On the day I checked in, I was told the AC was not working throughout the hotel and would be fixed the following day (Saturday). When Saturday came, I was told it could not be repaired until Monday because it was the weekend. By Monday, the AC was still not working.
As a result, I spent four nights sweating through uncomfortable nights in my room. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I checked out, the staff member at the front desk claimed he was unaware of any air conditioning issues at all.
When I asked what could be done to compensate for the inconvenience, the answer was essentially nothing. There was no apology that matched the situation and no attempt to make things right."
"On arrival the lock on the room did not work. when raised with reception they stated that it had been changed several times, but the door would not lock from the inside. There was no consideration for safety. left without staying as did not feel safe"
"Hallways and stairs were filthy, looked like it had never been mopped. The bedroom floor was the same, so sticky I had to wear flip flops for the entire stay.
The curtains were hanging off, holes in walls, splash marks up walls and filthy windowsill and skirting boards. The furniture was tired and no bedside table, so I put a chair where that should be.
The bedding was cheap, old and bobbled and didn’t fit the mattress. When I pulled the cover back there were hairs, I them smelt the bedding and was clearly not fresh! I insisted on it being changed, this was done and smelt fresh, but it didn’t improve how I felt about sleeping in the bed. The pillows and mattress had no protectors on them and I wasn’t brave enough to look. The bedding was synthetic and I sweated so much, it wasn’t a comfortable stay.
The bathroom was reflective of the bedroom, not really clean, hairs in shower and sink backed up when tap was on.
The noise was next level, by far the two most disturbed nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. The acoustics start with the tiled walls and wooden floor through the halls and stairs, nothing soft to dampen the noise. No soft-close on doors, they spring back and bang. Other guests banging doors every few minutes and shouting to eachother until 2am. Someone hoovering at 4am first night! Builders tipping rubble into the skip on the drive at 6:30am in residential area! Why not do this end of day?
Free parking and fridge in room only plus side. Expensive loss of sleep!"
"Steps from the tube station and access to london. Courteous and friendly staff. Quiet clean rooms and a fantastic attached restaurant with great food and meal deals. Would definitely stay again."
"I booked last minute, price was good. It said book in for 13.00pm , arrived and the place was locked up, googled the phone number which brings you to some finance answering machine I had a single room with a shower but there is no kettle, cups or any toiletries as advertised.
Place is very clean but there are a lot of steps to be mindful of."
