Fab location, but small and noisy.
The staff were very friendly on check in and the location is perfect. We were aware in advance that it was a shared bathroom, but we didn’t know how many we shared with. Room 23 was small, it felt like a small double rather than a double bed quoted, and one side was against a wall. The room was hot, no aircon, but there was a fan in the cupboard. Guests were showering at midnight, and this was loud enough to wake us. Equally, the doors shutting are loud and it was not a restful night sleep. Check out was 11am which was great, however, cleaners were hoovering the room next door at 8.45am and banging against our wall. Equally, guests leaving at 7am were struggling with suitcases down the thin corridors and stairs, and twice we thought someone was knocking on our door when in fact it was suitcases banging into the door as Room 23 is at the top of the 3rd floor staircase. It was clean and friendly, but small and noisy.

Great location, very well maintained
Immaculate, close to St. Pancras/King's Cross, options to purchase fruit and other items in the lobby, felt very safe there. The only downside was the room becoming a bit warm/stuffy, and opening the window was often met with cigarette smoke wafting in from another unit (not necessarily the hotel's). This could pose problem in the heat of summer. But I'd stay again during cool weather.

Perfect for solo visit for marathon.
I stayed at the Alhambra whilst running the marathon. My room was small as expected but was very clean and well presented. The room was fairly quiet and was very well located. The staff were friendly too. I would stay again. Price was reasonable given the occasion too. Only negative was poor wifi.
