Shambolic
They cancelled our booking. And 2 other couples we were meeting there.
And then you reminded me in the run up to the weekend that we had a booking adding insult to injury.
Now you want a review.
Shambolic is all i can say.

Reservation cancelled a week before our stay - very disappointing & frustrating, as booked so we were within walking distance of family wedding. However, Hotel.com were able to book us alternative hotel, just a slightly longer walk. At such short notice there was not much availability.

Booked this for a weekend break as it was my 1st time visiting Bristol. Central location to the main city and a 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants. Service at the hotel was terrible. The hotel operates on WhatsApp so you aren't actually able to call the reception for any room service. The privilege room was spacious which comes with a stock mini fridge by stocked it meant 3 cans of coke no refills no water in the room you had to walk down to the other side of the lobby area to refill a glass jug. The shower in the room kept blocking because clearly the drains hadn't been cleaned. Messages were sent on WhatsApp to the hotel for refils on the mini fridge with a reply sent back to us advising that we use the water fountain if we needed any drinks. The check in was a joke with the staff member asking us for an additional £160 stating we had only reserved a room. We showed her the email which confirmed we had already paid for the room in full. Breakfast is basic 2 days in a row basic items such as beans and crossiants had run out. The exterior of the property is also basic situation infront of a subway which some local shops nearby with a lot of weirdos hanging around. The cleaning staff aren't the best either the room was cleaned however no additional stocks of basic items such as toilet paper shower gel or shampoo were restocked. Wouldn't book again no interest in customers more concerned with how to fob them off.

The room we checked into had a really bad smell and was not as expected. We didn’t complain as we checked in late and had to be up early. Wasn’t ideal, but the rest of the hotel and staff was ok.

Lovely stay. The pants find not so...
We had a lovely room however, there were a pair of unsightly and heavily stained men's underwear in the room. Aside from that, all was well.

Always Stay at this hotel when visiting Bristol over last 20 years, But i will no longer be.
Terrible aircon, we were given Cheap free standing fans
in the rooms obviously they know theres a problem
Hence them being in the rooms
( too hot to Sleep)
Had to change room at 11.30pm due to electrics tripping out in room and couldn't be put back on
so given another room which was an accessibility room
shower head only 4ft high, Sink on the floor pretty much, Had to Kneel down to brush teeth
Then went for breakfast & was greeted by a very sweaty stressed out member of staff
who couldn't seem to handle people.
Complained when checking out but
might as well not have, Didn't seem to care.
Been a great place to stay over the years but now on the hunt for somewhere New!!
