"We liked the hotel. You need to make the daily amenity fee optional. We used none of them. I resent paying that fee.
It is not the best neighborhood and therefore we were nervous about leaving our car parked by the freeway and the ugly lot across the street from the hotel. But it turned out ok. Better, I suppose, than paying the highway robbery fee of $60-65 per night that hotels downtown charge.
We enjoyed Little Italy and the proximity to Balboa Park. I wish the outdoor patio when you first...

The rooms are a little dated but just fine.(There appears to be a newer part of the hotel but we didn't stay in it.) "Wife and I came here for her birthday/babymoon and really enjoyed it!
The hotel is beautiful, the entire place is decorated so fun and chic. The complimentary nespresso and snacks was a really nice surprise. Complimentary cocktail was very very cool and actually delicious. Had a low bar for a free hotel drink but it they were solid. Location is great, we were within 15 or so minutes of little Italy, north park, etc.
Only downside and reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the parking situation....

Our kids also liked the fact that there was a 24 hr Jack in the Box a block away. The hotel is also in front of a park with a great jungle gym for little ones. We were also walkable distance to the Water and checked out some of the sailing ships . The pool was clean and empty and also warm. The kids enjoyed...

"The hotel doesn’t have air conditioning however they do have signs posted in their lobby and their website therefore for the people complaining of no ac, it’s something you didn’t catch. However they do have a fan in the kitchen, another in the bedroom and a rotating fan you can connect to an outlet. Also if you open the windows it’s a nice breeze you get.
