"My husband and I were looking for a place that was right on or within steps from the beach. The St. Maurice delivered. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. So for location and service, a 5 star. As for the room, it was clean and had the basics, however if they would put a little money into some small upgrades, it would greatly improve the property. Some things we encountered in our King room with a kitchenette were small curtains that did not actually cover the windows, old dirty looking tile floors, a bathroom door that would not stay shut and could not lock, and a cheap little white shelf/drawer unit that was falling apart (the kind made of particleboard that comes in a box). The bathrooms also come with one ply toilet paper, which I know is cost-effective for them, but there are some cheap 2-plies out there that provide a better quality toilet paper. The kitchenette we had looked pretty new, so no complaints there. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean.
While they do not supply a hairdryer in the rooms, you can ask for one for the duration of your stay. They provided nice beach towels that we signed in and out each day. They also have beach chairs that you can sign in and out. As far as those go, again, I think if they would just go buy 20 or 30 nice ones that match, it would be appreciated by their guests.
All in all, it was a good experience and I would stay there again.
