The hotel is amazing and the beach views from those rooms are incredible. Only downside is how far North it is but if you make time it’s worth it for the vibe, service, and comfort.

Spent my birthday there with my family. The Sunny is a VIBE. Excellent service from the staff from the moment you enter the stylish, freshly renovated digs. We enjoyed meeting the staff Kelly, Noelia and Kiora. The food and drinks are excellent. Great stay for people of all ages!

Beach was amazing except that one of the kids working on the beach told a couple that they couldn’t be there sitting in the lawn chairs but that talked him out of it because they “live there” in Miami. They changed the vibes of the environment and not in a good way. Other than that the hotel was beautiful, the staff attentive except don’t call for room service, they won’t come help you. Would stay there again.

All of it was really great. Couple minor suggestions, the motion sensor light inside the room by door is not necessary and annoying in the middle of the night. add an over head or additional lighting in the rooms.

Brand new hotel, with brand new hotel prices, yet no restaurant, gym or spa. Valet left funky pot smell in my car. Not worth the price, maybe when it’s finished. AC is positioned behind the TV so can’t see what’s the setting and have to guess it, not at all what you’re expecting at the price range.

The room was okay. The sliding glass door hardly worked, and I had to get maintenance to come over and fix. It still was super hard to open and clos and it wouldn't lock. I do want to give a shout out to the older Spanish woman that worked at the little cafe, that lady worked her. But off and was very pleasant.

2/10 Poor

Property was under very loud construction, making it impossible to sleep or work in the room past 8 AM. The gym was also under construction and unavailable. The walls were super thin, such that we could hear every word of conversations in the next room. Restaurant and food service was extremely limited. And to top it off, paid extra for an Ocean view room, yet the main view was of the parking structure next door - coincidentally also under construction. This hotel is just not ready for occupancy. It should not be accepting bookings until it is.

The room is all new and clean. They are in the middle of refurbishing the hotel. However, they are making some mistakes with the new design. The new design of the shower leaves a gap between the doors and water gets out to the floor. There are loose pipes inside the bathroom wall that make banging noises at all hours. They have decided not to have microwaves in the room. There is a space inside the TV stand that appears it may hold a mini fridge at some point, but there was not one while I was there. They have restaurants that I did not use, because there are many restaurants, walking distance, in the mall across the street. Also, there is a CVS and grocery store in the mall. They have a great swimming pool, and the beach is right out the back doors. The actual main reason I was there, was for the Haulover Beach nude beach that is only a one mile walk from the hotel.

The staff was incredibly friendly—from the front desk, to the room attendants. Everyone was helpful and genuine, which I felt was unusual as you’d expect someone to be having a bad day, but that was not the case. Everyone was happy and excited to assist. The remodel was gorgeous, and the lobby had me wandering around looking at all the details and beautiful artwork. The complimentary fresh-squeezed Florida OJ was a very nice touch in the lobby too. Obviously, the pier was fun to walk on, but unfortunately, I came on the coldest weekend and wasn’t able to use the pool, beach, or outdoor amenities. The room was very comfortable and beautiful as well. My only two complaints are that the hot water pipes ran right behind my room and rattled both nights, but luckily, I was able to sleep better the second night. The second issue was that the motion light detector kept going on and off unnecessarily in the front hall and bathroom. Luckily, I was able to fix it with a piece of painter’s tape, but both issues were not solvable at the moment by the engineer but said would be addressed after I checked out. Overall, I’d give a 9.3 out of 10 and would highly recommend it and would absolutely stay again.

From the time we got there it was disappointing when we got to our room bed wasn’t made shower had hairs on the wall and floor and the tile looked like someone put out a couple of cigarettes against the tile on the wall so i wiped it all clean before I could shower went downstairs to explain they said they were sending someone up but didn’t happen until the next day in late afternoon 😡 someone had spit some nasty greenish thick stuff on the wall and it was next to the bed again late in the afternoon they came to wipe it off ! This all after I had gone downstairs to tell them again that morning and specifically told the gentleman at front desk that my wife and I were going to be in the room waiting for a couple of hours and would appreciate it if they would come while we were there! Again waited 2-1/2 hours and no one showed so late in the afternoon I got a text message tgat they were at my room but I had the do not disturb sign on the door! I told them go ahead and go in either way ! We went back tup to shower after five pm that’s when they knocked on the door 😡 then they told me they were going to adjust my price for the room by 50 dollars big deal that same night we opened the bed and pulled the sheets and the mattress protector had blood and poop stains on it so we got grossed out and I called again for someone to come and change it out very very disappointed 😡!

The Sunny is a beautiful hotel, and we genuinely wanted to love it. The lobby was stunning when we arrived and made a great first impression—there’s so much good to say, which is why it’s disappointing that our stay took a turn. Shortly after check-in, we had a scary experience in the elevator. The elevator stopped and we were stuck for 30+ minutes with no power—no ability to call, and no movement. It honestly triggered my biggest fear. When we finally got out, no one followed up with us or checked in, which felt really surprising after something like that. We tried to reset by heading to the pool area. Since it was raining, a kind server offered to take our order so we could calm down and eat (thank you!). After ordering, two staff members approached us and told us we had to move because a wedding rehearsal was about to take place there. We stayed, informed our server, and finished our meal—but being asked to move like that after the elevator incident was frustrating. We asked to be moved to a lower floor because I didn’t feel comfortable getting back in the elevator. We were told it wasn’t possible. Construction was also happening, and while I own a resort so I understand renovations firsthand, our room should not have been occupied by guests during that level of noise. We couldn’t even take a nap—the noise was all around us. I want to give major recognition to Adam—he was a HUGE help throughout our stay and truly did everything he could. He arranged a credit for us, which

The property is under immense construction… its visible. Its palpable. Located on the beach is its primary attraction, consumer “first “ is secondary. Staff are wonderful, but overall its a “bumpy” ride.

Bathroom had crumbs in the floor and toothpaste on the shower wall, big orange stain on the carpet. Booked a one bedroom suite which was super small. Basically the size of a regular hotel room somewhere else but split in half to make it “a suite” which just made it even more cramped. Would be better to just have a large sitting area minus the wall of the bedroom. Fridge was randomly on the floor in the sitting room. Bar is located outside so annoying to have to go out there vs lobby to get a drink. Snack shop closed early which is also annoying because you can’t get anything to snack on or drink later at night.
