"Great stay and amazing service from the team. The manager could not be more helpful or attentive. We stayed for nye for a wedding nearby. Had the suite room and loved the extra living space. Shower room was a bit small but manageable, which is understable with the beams and character of the building.

"I have stayed here several times. It is a good value hotel close to Stansted. I always end up with a room across the road and not in the main hall. It is dark over there and between 1am-3am, when I tend to check in after a late flight, there tends to be at least one male guest still up and loitering about outside. I have never had any trouble and they mind their own business but it can be disconcerting to a lone female traveller late at night. It is clean, but the beds can be a little rickety....

was nice. Room was nice and comfortable but bathroom let it down, toilet had not been flushed and was full of toilet paper, cold shower would not heat up tried everything and then basin in shower was blocked and filled with water quickly. Still a lovely old pub"

"Spent 2 nights at The Cricketers, had a lovely stay, our room was in The Pavilion annex, spacious room, lovely bathroom, spotlessly clean, comfy bed.
We ate both evenings at the pub, the food was wonderful and very tasty.
