"This is a great place to stay in Melbourne. You are close to the tram network and one street over to the Queen Victoria markets. Would definitely stay here again. Was travelling with a friend and we got a 2 bedroom apartment for a really good price. The common area was very roomy and had everything we needed in the kitchen."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Ormond
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Ormond is during May, June, and August, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended to fully enjoy the area's prominent landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions. Visitors can explore the bustling business area, the excitement of horse racing, and the scenic family beach. The local public market and urban park offer great value for money, while the stadium adds to the cultural experience. Taking advantage of this timing could allow for even more savings, as prices might drop during these months.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Ormond, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted accommodation rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about exclusive offers and flash sales, ensuring you don’t miss any chances to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you can make informed decisions. This way, if rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see the best options for your getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on various factors including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at an Ormond hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may offer more affordable options, helping you to secure the best deal possible.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the places you intend to visit. Independent hotels located further out usually tend to be cheaper and can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
