FIRE THE NIGHTMAN! We almost missed our flight.
The night watchman almost made us miss our flight! He did not a) make a wake-up call at 3 AM that the daytime staff had requested for him to do, b) he did not book a taxi to meet us at the hotel at 3:30 AM--even though the daytime staff had left him TWO notes (that I saw them make on their planner/calendar). I also saw this calendar/planner at 3:30 AM and pointed out his mistakes. He became furious. I was actually a little bit scared. I had my wife, 3 year old and 5 year old sons with me. I said he had made a HUGE mistake and demanded that he call a taxi for us immediately so we could reach CDG airport by 5:00 AM to check in. To my request, he said, "Say Please". Can you imagine? Then I told him he was an IDIOT and went to the street to find a taxi on my own. I brought my wife and 2 children to the street to search with me, away from the CRAZY IDIOT who works at this hotel on the night shift. I really hope that the hotel management FIRES this crazy fool. I strongly suggest that people avoid staying here. I have stayed in similar hotels in terms of cleanliness, lack of AC and size in Paris, but I have NEVER EVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY. Thankfully, I found a taxi driver after 30 minutes of standing on the street. He charged us 50 Euros to get to CDG, but we were happy to safely get away from Hotel Sibour's nightman!

Poor 2.0
Good location but bad hotel
Hotel Sibour was in a very good location. About less than 10 mins by foot from the station to the hotel. HOWEVER! The hotel was really really really run down, the lift could only take 1 person at a time while the rest of us had to climb up the stairs to get to our room with our heavy luggages. Not only was that a problem, the toilet was extremely small!!!! It's crazy! I could barely change in that space. This hotel has no aircon & the structure of the hotel doesn't allow for any wind to come through to our room. When asked for a fan, they only had 1 in the hotel to offer us but we had 4 people in our room, so only 2 of us could enjoy the fan, while the other 2 had to suffer the terrible still air. Furthermore! The wifi did not work for the 2 nights when we were there. When we asked the reception, they mentioned on both nights that the wifi router had a problem & we had to sit at the reception area to surf the net. The hotel room did not look as good as in the pictures & the room is very dark. When we asked to be changed to another room, we were shifted to a room right beside the place they store their hotel linens & such & privacy became a major issue. Everyone who wanted to take linens could see into our room so we couldn't open the windows even though it was so warm!!! This hotel has no safe & we didn't know where to leave our spare money & passports. Overall, I believe this is the worst hotel we have stayed in & this hotel refused to refund me.

Very good 8.0
Budget hotel with friendly night staff
The night staff was very friendly and accomodating. However, beware. We had purchased the room with continental breakfast included but the hotel refused to acknowledge the breakfast purchase. We even showed them our receipt, which states that continental breakfast is included, but the hotel says that it was a mistake. We were foreigners and didn't want to ruin our vacation, so we let it go. We found a few great local bakeries around the hotel instead. Also, we don't understand why the cleaning staff took our full unopened 150 liter water bottle (and left the opened half filled water bottle). The room is old, but cleanliness made up for it. The church next door is lovely and will wake you with its church bells every 15 minutes, starting at 8a. If you are on a budget, don't mind traveling 15 to 30 minutes longer to get to the main attractions, and is willing to keep an open mind to the unexpected, then this is the place for you.

Very good 8.0
Okay stay
Location - Walking distance to Gare De L'Est which is really convenient. - Next to a church which rings once every 15 minutes and on the hour is kind of annoying but it does stop late so people can sleep. Room - Clean but could use more than two power sockets - No safety deposit box but you can leave it with the front desk to store safely. - Beds were made and towels were changed but toilet paper needed to be refilled. Service - Staff are friendly and helpful - Only annoyance is that we had to leave the leave the keys with the front desk every time we left the hotel. Overall the hotel is as expected.

Budget hotel
The receptionist is polite. The rooms are quite old but clean. The bed sheets are clean and fresh. They also clean and changed the towels everyday.
