Get better pillows
Hotel trema was great. I had one of the smaller rooms which had an oddly shaped bathroom but functional. The staff was very nice and warm. It’s a great location if you want to stay from all of the tourist stuff. But it only took 15-20mins by metro to get to most areas. My only complaint the person in the room next to me kept smoking and the TINY hallway smelled like smoke the whole 3 nights I stayed. The front desk came and sprayed.

Good enough for a short stay
It was ok. A little old and not super clean. It was pretty loud though. The wall are super small and the room has a weird shape. Overall it was alright. The service was great, very nice people. Area was ok... 8 Euros for a great breakfast.

Poor 2.0
A very samll room with a small single bed. The bathroom, I could hardly fit in the shower. The sink was too small that washing my face resulted in water flooding/splashing in the floor of the bathroom. Not recommending at all for the price they charge. I'd rather stay at a hostel than thsi hotel

Exceptional 10.0
Cozy place, friendly staff, great value
The hotel looks like it was fully renovated just a couple years ago. The room was small, but cozy. It did need some very small touch ups here and there, but overall I can say that it's an amazing value for the price. Staff is super friendly, and there's also a seating/dining area on the first floor which is quite nice.

Fab hotel
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Trema; the staff were lovely, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. We booked a small double room which definitely lived up to its name. We didn't have much room which was not a problem for a short stay but would be uncomfortable if staying for a longer period. The hotel is boutique in style and quite small, we could hear other doors opening and closing and other travellers in their rooms. The hotel is also on a very busy road, our room was at the front and our sleep was often disturbed by the constant noise. The hotel itself is lovely and decorated well, food is available and the staff are genuinely friendly and keen to help guests. We'd probably stay again if on a quick trip.

good base but BEWARE
Hotel Trema is a really good base for a long weekend trip to Paris. It is located a short journey on the metro system from the hustle and bustle of Paris. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was a good mix of modern/chic boutique hotel. BUT BEWARE. 1) There is no lift. We were on the 5th floor and there were another 2 above us. With heavy cases this was a VERY difficult task. 2) The area the hotel is situated in is very low demographic. There is a feeling that there could possibly be issues although we didn't encounter any. 3) Breakfast offered by the hotel although very tasty, was VERY expensive for what we had at 16 euros per person for a cup of coffee, glass of orange juice, bread, boiled egg, croissant and a yoghurt. 4) we had a double room with an en suite. The shower doors barely opened wide enough for my wife or I to get into the shower. I'm medium build and my wife was 5 months pregnant and we both just about got through the shower doors
