Staffs are accomodating and has an English speaking staff. Place is clean. It’s conveniently near bus stops coming from International airport and tour buses as well as the train station. Nearby a convenience store. And if you want to dine-out, there are lots of them at the train station including McDonalds in which you won’t miss on your way to the hotel. Hotel Elcient is located across from the East exit of Kyoto station. The location is so convenient with lots of shopping, dining and tourist sites close by. Its so easy to get around Kyoto with it's location so close to Kyoto station (once you familiarize yourself to the station). Make sure to spend time at Kyoto Station as it's so beautiful with rooftop garden, views, restaurants, shopping, light shows etc. The rooms are clean, spacious (for Japan standards) and have great amenties. The onsen is excellent and the breakfast buffet is plentiful with both Japanese and Western options. The staff are hard working and very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.
