My husband & I spent 6 nights at Villa Barbarich in September & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is beautifully appointed & the staff are very effecient & so helpful in every way. Breakfast each morning was delicious, we also had dinner at the restaurant some nights which was excellent. The bus stop is at the end of the lane which takes you into Mestre CBD, a short tram ride then takes you into Venice. We were so pleased to being staying outside of Venice where it was so peaceful. We had a 3 day break at the end of a month's touring. The hotel is excellently located and is ideal for couples. The hotel is locates close to all of Venice's attractions, yet is sufficiently away from the bustle of St. Marks's Square. The public transport pontoon is only 50 metres away and the water taxi pontoon is directly out the front.

Great location. We had a canal view suite. We stayed during the heat wave and unfortunately our aircon didn’t work the best but I guess it’s not normally that hot either. Staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was great.

A beautiful hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. Staff are knowledgeable about the city and transport options and offer great advice. I was extremely happy with my stay, and as a person with mobility issues i appericated that the staff put down a ramp for the small step at the entrance without having to ask for it - it proves the staff go beyond to help their guests. The hotel was located steps away from luxury stores and a restaurant also very close to the Rialto bridge and ferry stop....

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Mestre
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Mestre is in January, February, and November, when hotel prices are generally lower. This duration allows visitors to enjoy a variety of attractions, including charming cafes, delightful dining options, and opportunities for sightseeing and excursions. Mestre offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travellers who wish to experience friendly locals and romantic small-town charm while shopping or enjoying tours of its historical landmarks.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To search for accommodation in Mestre, you may discover great hotel deals by exploring the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where discounted rates on nearby hotels are available as your travel date approaches. Enabling email alerts or push notifications can also keep you informed about flash sales and exclusive promotions, helping you seize last-minute opportunities. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to find the best options. You'll be promptly notified of any changes in availability or price drops, making booking a last-minute getaway easier.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could enable you to save on your stay in a Mestre hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will recommend more affordable dates, which could help you secure a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Mestre's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less populated neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
