Overall a great apartment located in an exciting area of Tulum. I would say that it is great value for money however I wouldn’t recommend it - there was simply too much confusion on the booking in terms of what was sold vs what we got. The only reason we booked this place instead of the beach was the possibility of having an apartment with private pool. It turned out however that the place doesn’t have any 2 room apartments with private pool. What we were offered instead was a 1-room apartment at one floor and a single room with separate access and pool on another floor. We cannot have kids at 8 and 10 staying in their own apartment. This offering should never have been listed as a 2-room apartment with private pool! The alternative we got was offered as an upgrade and yes, it was nice but had no private pool and we would never have booked it in the first place. Communication with host was generally speaking OK, but there was no support when we checked in at 21 in the night with tired kids and we waited more than one hour before we decided just to use the apartment which we had access to. The pool available for common use was very dirty when we arrived, but was cleaned next morning. We identified three cockroaches in the kitchen which according to the host is not unusual for the area - that I cannot comment on.
