Comfy beds, spacious apartment, stable wi-fi
I had several questions before arriving (eg. laundry, luggage storage) and was able to get those answered via email prior to our stay. The communications were great and at arrival, the front desk was genuine and friendly. The rooms were not ready so we left the luggage in storage and returned around 3pm. The check-in process was painful and such a long wait - we were required to sign forms for the police department and I felt it could have gone much smoother with passport in hand. The room was clean and spacious. There is no daily room service, but we were able to request a fresh set of towels or cleaning if need. Room service is available by request, but my cousin noticed her money was missing. It was reported to the front desk, but nothing came of it. There are safes in the hotel, but she didn't think anyone would go sorting through her bags and remove 8 euro. It was difficult to figure out how to unfold the sofa-bed on the first night, it would have been nice to have some instruction. Overall, the beds were comfortable, the evenings were quiet, and we got a good night's rest. The metro was less than a 2 minute walk away, and a variety of restaurants were about a 10 minute walk. The location was good but getting around required about 20 to 30 min of travel via metro.

Location was a bit removed from the main attractions it was however close to metro. Only 3-4 minutes by foot. Decent layout for a family of 4 to be able to shower and make use of the toilet. (Toilet separate from shower & sink). Spacious enough for an apartment in Paris. Small kitchen was adequate. Close to 2 grocery stores and more residential in location. NOTE: fresh towels were available BUT you needed to 'ask' for them. There was 'no charge' for fresh towels but they were a bit reluctant to swap them. This seemed very STRANGE to us in light of the fact that they were skinny towels and once wet it was hard to dry them. If you wanted room cleaning and your stay is less than 6 days there is an additional service fee. Overall we were pleased with the facility. Can't fault them for their location. The desk was pleasant and helpful. They also were also to assist us with a cab reservation. One caveat for cab reservation to the airport - Confirm pricing with hotel and also with driver. The hotel told us that the rate to Charles de Gualle was 55euros. Once at our destination, the driver wanted 70euros and insisted that the difference was due to 1) requesting for the taxi & 2) for drop offs to 2 terminals. (One person in our party departed from international terminal 2A and we departed from terminal 2F). This is not the hotels' 'fault' but do don't want to be left footing the bill in excess.

Exceptional 10.0
We had a wonderful stay in Paris at Citadines Bastille Marais, unfortunately we were robbed on the 6th day of our stay. After 5 hours at the police station, we returned to the apartment to be greeted by Mr Lamine at the front desk and it was past midnight. He asked if we had a good day and I related to him what had happened to us earlier in the day. He was very sympathetic and when he saw my husband at the food vending machine buying some snacks, he asked if we had our dinner. I told him no, and he immediately said that he had ordered a pizza for himself and but had not eaten it. He went into the back office retrieved a warm pizza and said that its for us. When I protested he said that its the least he can do to make our day. We were so appreciative of his gesture and thanked him. The next day we were also greeted with a card from Mr Dubos, Front Office Manager, offering their help. We are so happy and grateful with their service and kindness shown to us on an unfortunate incident that happened. We highly recommend this apart'hotel to stay in Paris.

Nice Hotel, Nice Rooms, Unknowledgeable staff
I picked this hotel randomly, never being to Paris. The neighbourhood was great. There's a park across the street, so it's a great place for kids. The lobby is nice, the room we were in was supposedly recently renovated and it was very nice. Had a little kitchen and all the other features of a typical hotel room. I inadvertently noticed that others were paying about forty euros less than me, so there must be ways to negotiate a better rate ahead of time. The staff need some serious training. There is a sign in the elevator says "talk to us about restaurants, attractions and reservations, we will help you". This was very incorrect. I asked two staff members for a recommendation on where I could bring my wife for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary. All they came up with was a cafe down the street. I made it clear, I would go anywhere in Paris, but they were still absolutely no help. The next day we asked if there were any fromageries in the area. Not only did they have no idea (which is fine), but they were unwilling to ask colleagues or look it up on the internet for us. My final complaint is that there is no room cleaning unless you are prepared to pay a substantial fee in addition to your room fee per day. I'm not sure if this is normal in Paris, but it's the first time I've ever experienced this. At the very least some fresh towels would have been nice.

Difficulty Securing the Advertised Amenities
Our biggest problem here was getting access to the amenities advertised. This included: -The launderette. We tried to do laundry one night, only to be told that all the tokens had been used up that day and they couldn't get the tokens back from the machines until the following day. No other solutions were offered, so we found a laundry mat offsite ourselves. (FYI there are only two washers and dryers for the whole building.) -Louvre tickets. Despite multiple posters in the lobby advertising that you can get Louvre tickets at reception, when we tried, the receptionist on duty said she didn't know how to sell tickets, couldn't get a co-worker who did know to help us, that Louvre tickets were a rare request (!), and that tickets couldn't be purchased for same-day use (this turned out to be false). That evening we were able to get a different receptionist to help us, but only after we had to change our plans for the day. -There was a working dishwasher in our kitchen, but we weren't allowed to use it. Also, beds were very hard, and the bathroom and kitchen smelled bad. Wifi was spotty our last two days. Positives: we had a wonderful view of Sacre-Coeur, and the hotel is close to the 5 metro line.
