Very cool setting in the room, great staff, could do with more towels or somewhere to hang damp ones.. Cold damp towel the next morning 👎 Noisey people racing round in cars, QT can’t help that tho.. Otherwise lovely

6/10 Good

Great new hotel but a few issues with our stay
Great hotel, very sleek and we loved the interior, size of the room and presentation. Staff even left a small birthday gift for my partner. QT is usually our choice of stay when travelling within NZ and sometimes in AUS. A few things however with our stay didn't make it as comfortable and I even had a sleepless night because of one. The AC in our room kept on blowing very loud and with cold air and no manipulation with the controller made any difference. It was like having a dishwasher next to you. The internal doors are quite heavy and got magnets to assist with closing. However, in the middle of the night it felt like I would wake up the entire floor as they are bashing so loud no matter how gentle I tried to do it. Lastly the remote for the TV was missing (or it was a birthday scavenger hunt to find one). I like to leave a movie on with a timer and fall asleep but instead I had to get up and down to switch the tv off from the wall socket. Hopefully most of these things were isolated to our stay and others had theirs much better and perhaps if we will get a chance to stay again, we will experience the best of it.
