Didnt like breakfast... should consider cooked food options. Lovely reception staff... friendly and kind. Loved the cleanliness. However, one of the staff at goodhome was very rude and told us to go and eat elsewhere. We told him we have a concert to attend and how long was the wait. He said we are busy. Which is okay but some things he should not have said. He should have chosen his words wisely and be kinder. He was arrogant and rude.. indian guy.. around 4pm on Saturday 24th June. He needs to be taught good customer service skills, others wont tolerate his behavior. We are kind and humble so just walked out.

I booked several months in advance and asked for a room with a Bathtub ( and I paid top dollars for thebest - they give the option. ) On arrival I got a room WITHOUT A BATHTUB. I need this for health reasons. When I asked for a room with a bath I had to evacuate and stay outside hotel for a day, only to find that it was a Much much smaller room in a VERY VERY noisy block and still WITHOUT A BATHTUB !! It had the bottom of the shower partially higher but that's not a BATHTUB and nothing like their advertising. Then for two full days and nights they allowed a group of 12 or 15 people to have a party day and night up to 2am !! People screaming, shouting, swearing !! Terribly rude and when I asked them to do something about it they did nothing. So for most of the time it was an absolute terrible terrible experience, leaving me terribly tired with hardly any sleep. Furthermore the Breakfast is absolutely pathetic with a few jars with dry cereal and white bread for toast. Also an empty bowl of canned fruitsalad. Yikes. Had I known these horrible conditions I would never have booked there and certainly never again !

Handy to activities in West Auckland
The room is very pleasant with comfortable bed, nice linen and a good armchair. The bathroom has been renovated and perfectly adequate but its the area I'm not as happy with. Still we've stayed here 6 or more times when visiting family in Glen Eden. Access is easy and parking is free. There's an elevator if you dont like stairs. This time in addition to our prepayment made when booking, they take a $100 on a credit card in case you damage the room -and the tell you in advance they do that - and a first they took a copy of my drivers licence. I asked for it back when i checked out and they gave it to me. The deposit has always been refunded prompty too. Ill stay here again no doubt.
