Good Inn with rooms in an old fashioned town.
The star feature of this establishment is the cheerfulness and industry of the staff who coped with busy evening and breakfast services quickly and without fuss. Food is good quality but not fussy and portions are generous. It is clearly very popular with locals both on a Monday evening and at breakfast the next day. My room was fine, adequately equipped for a room above a pub; it would have been nice to have a comfortable chair to sit on but this would make the room very crowded. Aylsham is slightly off the beaten track. An old fashioned small market town in easy reach of the Broads and the coast. 5is is definitely worth a slight detour.
