Fantastic Romantic Stay
We had the most wonderful stay at the retreat. We had a free room upgrade and a glass of complimentary wine on arrival. They had lovely little treats, bowls, toys and beds out for our two dogs and were very dog friendly. The room was beautiful and I haven't been in such a clean hotel, the housekeepers were absolutely fantastic. Every bit was spotless. The flowers in the hotel were beautiful, the staff were approachable and couldn't do enough to help. The food in the brasserie was incredible. We were so impressed, the only thing I would say is that there weren't many serving staff so we had to wait a long time to be served, but they were all so friendly and kind. I would like to say that to top it all off, a little truffle or chocolate at the end of the meal would have finished it off nicely, maybe a bit of bread when ordering too. The grounds are beautiful and it was very quiet, everyone in the courtyard were so friendly. It was a delight. I would say that as there is no air con - we were absolutely boiled (!), maybe providing a fan might be helpful. We will 100% be returning and next time will be exploring the spa.
