Stay Alfred at 223 E Town

This was a much cheaper option than staying in a hotel downtown. It was also more comfortable with much more room. Very clean and trendy. Would definitely stay again!

The room was amazing! It felt like home. Even though staff was not on hand everything was easily accessible. Will definitely be staying at a Stay Alfred site in other cities.

The stay here was excellent! The amenities, the large bedrooms and bath, and the location were all excellent. The kitchen was well stocked, large, and NEW! The bedrooms were large with very nice pillows and mattresses, and HUGE closet spaces. There was a nice sized balcony with plenty of room to hangout. I was very pleased with the bathroom space, large counters, and shower. THIS location was close to everything. So what went wrong? The evening before my trip I was sent an email stating that the 2 bedroom apartment that I reserved, in the location that I reserved it in, was no longer available because of a shower door issue. No phone call, no confirmation that I was aware of the situation...just an email stating that I was no longer staying there. Instead, I was going to another location and instead of a 2 bedroom, I was going to have 2-1 bedroom units. And I didn't find out about that until I was at the first location trying to get in. Fortunately, someone was available by phone(there is no staff on site) that could explain what was going on. For location, amenities, and everything other than the lack of communication Stay Alfred is a 9-9.5. Because of the lack of communication, difficulty in getting to where I needed to be, change in original reservation, and the overall inconvenience, my grade has to be lower. Definitely a downside to not having staff on hand to help.

I love the Stay Alfred. Easy, comfortable, convenient.

The look, feel, and appeal overall was amazing. The apartment is in the heart of downtown and was close to everything we needed. The cable in the living room didn’t work and wasn’t fixed until after our stay. The usb charger cord was broken in one of the lamps next to the bed, the tv in the master bedroom needed to be reset but that was an easy fix I was able to do myself and lastly there was no extras ie no extra face towels, body towels, and only one trash bag. The air vents and ventilation in the apartment was poor. The living room was colder than the bedroom but due to the location of the vent near the bed in order not to get sick we had to keep the vent closed which made it warmer in the bedroom. There was something else that was broken that I made them aware of but can’t remember while writing this review. Staff were helpful but the wait times were long. Lastly, the only other thing that was less than pleasant was the parking situation but the unit is downtown where parking is already limited and this isn’t the first Stay Alfred that didn’t have their own parking.
