Great hotel, bit noisy at night.
I love this bourique hotel. 2nd visit. The only thing stopping us going back is the music from the pub over the road. It kept us awake for a while. Service amazing and situated right in chinatown, handy to everything.

charming hotel but beware of possible noises
The hotel is in a very charming historical building. The rooms are very nicely decorated and there's a lot of wood around. Nice atmosphere. The room was fairly small but this is normal for Singapore and we were mostly in it for sleeping. The breakfast was a European style buffet breakfast nothing too fancy but plenty to eat and good. There's a busy temple next door in the mornings, very nice to visit and interesting music and rites. Nice position close to China town and public transport. What i didn't like about this place: position of the room on the ground floor with a window opening directly onto the footpath and just opposite a pub. I actually didn't mind hearing the music clearly for free from my bed as they had very good musicians. However the noises kept on going after the music stopped, noisy people in the street, rubbish truck round twice (yes around 0200 AM). Disturbed sleep but my husband slept through all these noises! If possible don't get the room on the ground floor which is right next to the street.

Good location
Room was comfortable and well set up. We were on the ground floor in room 101 and only negative was it was sometimes noisy being close to the street. I think most of the other rooms would be ok. Breakfast was simple but good and it was convenient being able to make a cup of tea or coffee when one felt like it.
