Village Family Motor Inn

Village Family Motor Inn

8/10 Good
"My son and I stayed at the Motor Inn for 4 nights. The room itself had quite a bit of space in it with two beds - one queen & the other single. The bed that I slept on was unfortunately a bit hard & made my back sore. There was also power points but not enough next to the beds. Two little bed side tables were a great idea. There was also a small table & 2 chairs and tea making facilities with kettle & toaster. The shower was slightly temperamental but once adjusted the temperature was great. It would have been nice if the toilet roll holder was placed in a better location as everytime I used it I had to twist my body and the metal holder would fall off. Then hence I was continually reach to pick it up from the floor. Our bin was overflowing as no one came to change it. It was quite noisy as our room was located right at the back of the inn. One morning a truck came at about 5.30 am & made a crashing sound and woke us up. My son & I enjoyed the pool and spa which were both nice and warm. Each Room had it's own vertical parking which was enough for our hired vehicle. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back thanks."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Launceston

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Launceston is between June and August, when hotel prices tend to be lower. Staying for at least 2 to 3 days is perfect for discovering the city's historical landmarks, cultural sites, and natural beauty. During your visit, you can explore stunning waterfalls, enjoy scenic walks in natural parks, and experience the warmth of the friendly locals. Don't miss the opportunity to sample delicious local wines, take a refreshing swim in the river, and savour a cup of coffee while enjoying the inviting atmosphere. This period offers great value for money, as prices may drop even further, making it an ideal choice for those on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Launceston, consider browsing the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on accommodation as your travel date approaches. You could also enable email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and exclusive promotions. Furthermore, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see the best options. By staying updated, you’ll be among the first to know about any price drops or room availability for your getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Launceston. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might be more affordable, increasing the likelihood that you’ll save.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Launceston's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even some lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
