I was not sure what to expect but I was delighted to check into a room that is clean, comfortable and has a beautiful view. Was really happy with everything and communication was great. The only downside was I had to carry my luggage up 2 flight of stairs and it was hard when you travel alone and had a heavy luggage. If I knew, I would request for ground floor. But other than that, I am pretty happy and would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed overnight for the footy. Easy check-in with lovely staff. Room service food was great. Lovely young girl at reception, whose name escapes me, was very helpful in arranging my transfer back to the airport when I couldn't get a shuttle to the hotel at the right time to catch my flight. Nice clean room which was quiet & comfortable.

I had an amazing recent experience at Waratah on York Hotel! The cleanliness and safety measures in place were truly commendable, creating a comfortable and worry-free environment. The friendly staff added an extra layer of warmth to the stay, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Nice, quiet hotel with good room facilities and very comfortable bed. Good TV, iPod dock, shower, spa bath, well stocked mini-bar, large room (we got a free upgrade to a city view), dressing gowns, toiletries, chairs and table, fridge, coffee and tea facilities and parking on site. It was previously a convent and the hotel has good size rooms all refurbished to a good modern standard with the exterior still retaining original character.
We have stayed before and will return again as it's...

The staff at Elphin villas are awesome. The lady at reception was so welcoming and provided a wealth of information about all local attractions as well as maps and brochures. She also answered all of my questions and was so friendly. The accomodation was of a high standard and clean. I would highly recommend this location for short or long stays.

Very clean and quiet place. Easy parking, and close to everything.
Breakfast includes fruit, cereal, coffee, and tea. Nothing fancy—just simple, which was exactly what we needed.
Don’t hesitate, just stay here!

We stay at the Best Western, Launceston when we are going to a show at the Princess Theatre next door.
The bathroom is rather dated, but the shower is good. You need to specify a room with just a shower. They are on the top floor, level 6.
Best thing is tge great breakfast! Everything available in a buffet, especially the pastries.

For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll recommend more affordable dates, which may help you secure the best deal.
Consider your location: Opting to stay closer to major attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with elevated costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you wish to explore. Independent hotels situated further afield are usually more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
