Amazing hotel

The hotel needs rennovation and proper cleaning. The advantage is close to Gare de Est

Affordable hotel stay in Paris
Hotel Liberty is an affordable hotel that does the job near two main train stations. I've stayed there four times over the years due to being affordable & location next to the main train stations Gare D l'Est & Gare du Nord. Twin beds, small TVs, & sinks in your room. Decent, French customer service at front desk.

6/10 Good

The only bad part is there was some hair on the toilet, so it seemed it needed a deeper clean. The rest of the room is OK

It was a great place for the night. It was really close to a lot of things! The staff there was very nice and understanding.

Great for staying one night! My room smelled too strongly of room freshener though, i got a headache from that.

Incredibly dirty property with very limited facilities (1 toilet per floor). Had to sleep ontop of clothes as the bed sheets were blood stained. Also surrounding area did not feel comfortable to walk around in at night. Had to hand back keys whenever we left which made us fear for the security of our belongings. Amazing staff though who let us take our breakfast in a bag with us

Did not enjoy my stay. Room was dirty.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great location close to metro stations and restaurants/cafes. The room is cleaned daily, but the general state of the property is terrible. It’s very old and not well kept. It does the job for the price, but I won’t be staying again.

Dirty property, saw a mouse passing by while having breakfast. the blanket had holes in it and there was a mousetrap in the room. the shower is just a shower.

When I booked I don't if I missread the description of my room but there was no toilet and shower only a sink within the room. Toilet were in the corridor and very very outdated room. Staff are very nice and friendly.

Bed covers were too old and shower were not so hygienic and no large towels provided

10/10 Exceptional

The shower was not properly repaired. Everything else was ok. If there is no lift, a family room is better located downstairs, if possible, as families have more luggage.

The worst experience in my life
DO NOT stay there, there are enormous bedbugs, the employees are super rude. I slept on a chair in the lobby and they don’t want to do the refund.
Maria, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

We arrived in Paris late from Mauvais airport and had tried many times before 7pm to call the hotel to say that we would arrive close to midnight and please let us in. We received no response, no answer and as a result we had to spend the night (three of us) on hard chairs on the pavement outside a cafe across from the Gare du Nord. We had absolutely no sleep!
Peter, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

bugs everywhere
Spent half the night killing bugs in the room, still ended up full of bites the day after. Completely terrible, should be closed down for renovation asap - don't even think about paying for this, bring a tent instead..

Worse hotel
This hotel was absolute the worst in the world I ever stayed at. I actually had contacted Hotels.com because of it and I left one night early. It was filthy, disgusting and extremely noisy. There was no air conditioning so had to leave the windows open, which made it even worse. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

We were allotted room no39 in 4th floor. There was no lift facility and we had to carry our luggage through steep stairs. It was really disappointing. We got bugs in our bed.Only 2 small towels were given and was not changed daily.Only plus point was behaviour of staff at reception. Breakfast was not at all good and that too very limited amount, no buffet system. We had to eat as per their choice. Location is somehow good.

Very dirty showers and uncomfortable sleep
Cleanliness and efficiency is a major factor and concern. There is no cleanliness in the shower facilities or toilets - it’s very dirty. The beds don’t have thin cotton sheets on the inside, just hot thick sheets which is uncomfortable at times. There is no air conditioning system or fan provided in the room to reduce the hot temperature.
