I’ve never been disappointed by Hotel Hugo- and I’ve stayed there at least six times for trips of 2-5 nights each time. The rooms are the perfect size, and by NYC standards are pretty spacious (especially compared to another very popular hotel a few blocks away). The room AC was blasting in the hot humid summer thank goodness, and the hotel staff are so friendly (also there’s comp cold brew which was yummy). Only negative is the food at the rooftop bar was very average.

The location was great and super convenient. Close to my work and to subway lines. Was also a quick walk away from the waterfront. The hotel was very clean and well maintained with friendly staff. The bedding was not as comfortable as my other stays in NY. It was not breathable and my sleep was impacted. I was also in a room right by the elevators and everytime the elevator went up or down, it made a weird sound through the walls which made it hard for me to fall asleep.
