I recently stayed here for 3 nights. I looked at many hotels in Launceston and chose Sebel.

I was not sure what to expect but I was delighted to check into a room that is clean, comfortable and has a beautiful view. Was really happy with everything and communication was great. The only downside was I had to carry my luggage up 2 flight of stairs and it was hard when you travel alone and had a heavy luggage. If I knew, I would request for ground floor. But other than that, I am pretty happy and would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed overnight for the footy. Easy check-in with lovely staff. Room service food was great. Lovely young girl at reception, whose name escapes me, was very helpful in arranging my transfer back to the airport when I couldn't get a shuttle to the hotel at the right time to catch my flight. Nice clean room which was quiet & comfortable.

Nice, quiet hotel with good room facilities and very comfortable bed. Good TV, iPod dock, shower, spa bath, well stocked mini-bar, large room (we got a free upgrade to a city view), dressing gowns, toiletries, chairs and table, fridge, coffee and tea facilities and parking on site. It was previously a convent and the hotel has good size rooms all refurbished to a good modern standard with the exterior still retaining original character.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Launceston
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Launceston is between June and August, when hotel prices tend to be lower. Staying for at least 2 to 3 days is perfect for discovering the city's historical landmarks, cultural sites, and natural beauty. During your visit, you can explore stunning waterfalls, enjoy scenic walks in natural parks, and experience the warmth of the friendly locals. Don't miss the opportunity to sample delicious local wines, take a refreshing swim in the river, and savour a cup of coffee while enjoying the inviting atmosphere. This period offers great value for money, as prices may drop even further, making it an ideal choice for those on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Launceston, consider browsing the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on accommodation as your travel date approaches. You could also enable email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and exclusive promotions. Furthermore, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to see the best options. By staying updated, you’ll be among the first to know about any price drops or room availability for your getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Launceston. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might be more affordable, increasing the likelihood that you’ll save.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Launceston's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even some lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
