4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Patong

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Patong is during May, September, and October, when hotel prices are generally lower. To truly immerse yourself in the area's landmarks, history, and culture, a stay of at least 5 to 6 days is advisable. This duration allows you to explore the stunning beaches, picturesque islands, and vibrant shopping areas, while also enjoying romantic sunsets by the sea. Dining on fresh seafood is a must, and Patong's lively bars offer a great value for money experience for both families and couples alike. With prices potentially dropping during these months, it's a fantastic opportunity for those travelling on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover affordable accommodation options in Patong, you may explore the Deals and Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you're more likely to find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you can stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, maximising your chances of securing great deals on Patong Beach hotels. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you have the best options at your fingertips for a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Patong hotel. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you make a booking with Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we will suggest more affordable dates, which may help you secure a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be pricier; however, with Patong’s superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well-linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
