"The RIU Palace was a great all-inclusive resort for families. The grounds were always clean, the staff was amazing and extremely friendly. My only complaint was with the room. We booked a junior suit with two beds for my husband, my mom and I. I thought two beds would be all we needed, but the beds were double beds and they were pushed together to make a king. There was one outlet on only one side of the bed and one USB on the other, so trying to find places to plug in our phones was challenging because I wont plug my phone directly into a wall USB for security reasons. Two people sleeping in a double bed is not relaxing nor very comfortable. We have stayed at the RIU Santa Fe before and I was led to believe the Palace was nicer. I honestly didnt see much difference between the two, but you do get access to the Santa Fe, if you stay at the Palace. The food was pretty good and they do offer some gluten free options. They could improve on the signage of the GF options though. There is a kids show every night at 8 and an adult show at 9, but when that’s over, there isn’t much else to do other than drink at the bar with Able (who was amazing and our favorite bar tender!). The active nightlife is over at the Santa Fe. In the end, we would stay at a RIU again, but make sure to book a larger room. It would be great if they could add a few more outlets though! "
