Poor 2.0
Abusive behaviour at the front desk
Extremely bad service at the front desk. Very aggressive employee at the front desk, who was YELLING at me, litterally, very bad english, continuously with degrading and abusive comments and abusive behaviour in front of other customers. She refused to apologize, her manager did apologize on her behalf because of her arrogance and impoliteness, but extremely bad experience overall for a price of 225 pounds per night! One word: AVOID

Classic beautiful hotel.
- Classic beautiful hotel and a very special location near Oxford and Hyde Park and close to it a supermarket and restaurants and wonderful cafes and It is very suitable for shopping’s. - Breakfast was excellent and varied. - The service at the hotel was unprofessional, especially for one of Arab receptionists woman. - One of the hotel problems is Some time not giving you the same type of room that you book. - A major problem with the hotel is hearing the sound of the wooden floor. If this does not suit you, do not book at this hotel. In general, I enjoyed my stay despite some problems I encountered.

Money Taken from Our Room and Bad Service
My husband and I stayed at the Leonard Hotel for a week while celebrating his birthday in London. We separated our Euros (for travel outside of the UK) in to two parts - half in the safe and the other half hidden in our things in the room. As we were packing to leave London, we could not find the money we hid in our belongings. I alerted the hotel that we think the money was taken from the room but will do a thorough search when we land at our next destination since we had to get on a flight. After we could not locate the money anywhere in our belongings we notified the hotel again. They were slow to react to the issue and kept insisting that no one had been in our room when we know we had housekeeping clean the room several days of our stay. I called the hotel every few days to follow up on the request and finally was given an email to connect with the front desk manager. The hotel took days to get back to us and refused to call us over the phone.  I filed a police report and now a month later, the hotel has still not offered to do anything about it. Their customer service related to the Euros disappearing as well as other interactions at the front desk were subpar. My advice is to avoid this hotel. There are plenty of others in London.

3 Star Hotel at 5 Star Prices
Small room which was rather shaby. Felt like a three star hotel with five star prices. Partly a problem of an expensive location.

Beware of perfumed room
Hotel was a little frayed around the edges in the common areas. Staff all spoke English as a second language. 5th floor room (592) involved a flight of stairs. Room had the overpowering and burning smell of perfume, perhaps to mask something more nefarious. Bathroom had water damage around tiles and wall board due to chronic water leaks from the shower, and smelled terribly of cat urine.
