DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL
Hi. My stay was great up until the next morning. Checking out was HORRIBLE. The person working the night shift was creepy and rude. He wouldn’t let me leave and proceeded to tell me I need to pay 1 euro, I said ok charge my card, my Uber is here I NEED to make it to the airport. Then at this point, he’s like “YOU DONT HAVE CASH?????!” And I’m like no I was in Paris for one day! Then he tells me to come behind the desk (v creepy) and see the charges. I said I DO NOT CARE CHARGE MY CARD pls!!!! And he said well the fee is 10 euros for a card. Keep in mind when I got back from dinner last night this was NOT the same man in the lobby. The other two were very nice and helpful): this man was short, white, and very rude. He scared me so bad that I started throwing up bc I was so nervous and scared.

Clean, Safe, Convenient
The hotel was very clean and in a location that was safe and convenient, especially during the strikes. We walked all over the city with ease, about 15 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, 45 minutes from the Louve, 50 minutes to St. Chapelle, an hour to Notre Dame and 30 minutes from the Arc de Triumph. Lots of local restaurants and bakeries close by added to the convenience. The hotel room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. There is also not an elevator and you must use a small spiral staircase dating back to a time when humans were much smaller. This may come as a surprise to anyone that’s not been to Europe before but is not unusual. Unless you have some sort of disability, it should not be an issue. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and helped us out with transportation back to the airport during the strike via a shuttle. We even forgot the correct adaptor for the outlet and the let us borrow one. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking for a place to sleep and shower before heading back out to explore the beautiful city of Paris.

Good 6.0
One fatal flaw
Other than the obvious concerns such as a reasonable level of cleanliness and comfort, the one essential for me is functioning wifi. This is especially so as I rely upon being able to put my tired feet up in the evening and plan my next day via the internet. For my two day stay, it was not working. On site staff were very kind and understanding but were at the mercy of an outside contractor in this regard. These two days in Paris were seriously affected as a result, resulted in me wasting my time and money to a large extent. Essentially, I didn't get what I contracted for when I paid for this room., and even with a refund -- which I didn't get -- nothing can get me back this lost opportunity. Other than the inevitable noise from those going up and down the wooden stairs I was happy with my stay. I know of at least one other guest who was greatly affected by this issue at the time of my stay.

Nice location!
Wi Fi wasn’t available. We had trouble booking our tickets online and had to connect to insecure public wi fi to get the GPS and other information. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is awesome and very near to Eiffel Tower.

Poor 2.0
Most Disppointing facility for a seasoned travelle
As you would find from your records, I have stayed in many hotels, all over Europe,; Hotel Amelie is my worst experience. I do not know who or why this was rated star2. This is NO star facility; it is like a cheap rooming house. Your own people should visit the facility before you record the rating of this hotel. Over the years, I have relied on Hotels.com rating. This is the most disappointing experienced ever. This room does NOT even have a place to hang your used clothing. I did not find toilet paper in there. had to ask for it.

Nice place
Loved the hotel and the city! The staff was very friendly and had great recommendations for food and entertainment. They are a bit relaxed so you should make all your logistical reservations in advance!

Perfect
It really surprised us, the hotel is much better than we expected from the photos. It’s clean and the staff is friendly. Great location just about 10 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. The only complaint is that 2 nights some one was smoking in other room and it was really annoying. Also the blankets and pillows had humidity smell.
