Not what you would expect from a Residence Inn. This hotel is in dire need of some TLC.
First for the positives, the location of the property is great. It is a short walk from the tube station and there is a large grocery store next door. The neighborhood felt safe to walk in at all times. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of foods. Staff was wonderful, despite shortcomings of the hotel.
This hotel advertises air conditioning, but our room on the first night did not have working AC. When we complained to the front desk, they acted like the weren't aware and told us they would move us to another room the next day. The room that they moved us to, had a/c but had a damp/musty smell and was not the cleanest. The couch had stains on the upholstery, the floor was spongy and it was in need of updating. Finally, the lifts on the property were extremely slow and at times only one lift was working. This was not a problem for us, as we are in good health and we weren't in a huge rush, but I could see it being an issue for others.
We've stayed at much better places in Kensington and London.
