Ok hotel close to the airport
The hotel was ok not a type I would stay in even for a night... but because a family member recommended it, I took a chance and booked it. The lobby was clean and lovely, the check in process was a bit longer, and there was a lineup. The receptionist staff made you welcome... however the rooms smelled like mold, changed into two different rooms, but they all smelled the same way and they were very small. Sitting in the toilet seat made me see growing mold on the edges of the sink, the walls of the rooms are basically thin that you can hear noise from other room. The bed was not so comfy because the mattress of one of the single beds was moving as I was moving on the bed because they stacked two mattresses on top of each other. The buffet was great however there wasn't enough seating, we had to be seated at a different place. If you need to iron your clothes, don't bother to ask or wait... we asked for an iron borde and iron twice through the reception and was told they will send it with housekeeping and we ended up leaving because even after an hour and half has passed we didn't receive it. Overall it's an ok hotel if you don't mind the moldy smell.

Need to start cleaning the rooms better Ibis
This was my 4th stay at Deira City hotel since March 2017. The staff has always been helpful, has a reasonable fitness area and pool. Plus it’s convenient from the airport, close to a shopping mall food court, and has a nice restaurant next door. It’s been my budget stay location while transiting through DXB. But next time I’ll stay elsewhere.... First, the elevator card entry in the elevator back left still works only sporadically. Get it fixed guys, it’s been a year now! The room I got this time was substandard. Hair on the glass in the bathroom, dirt on the bench where the suitcase goes, leftover crumbs on the table by the window, plus start of mold growth on the shade, and a partially crushed shade on the bedside lamp. It was a mess. Could they run a vacuum between visitors please? Room 386.

Very good 8.0
bad breakfast, loud, but good location
I've stayed there almost 40 days now. The rooms are small, and you can hear everything the next-door neighbor is doing or saying. Don't waste your money on the breakfast. It has very poor selection, is repetitive, and unappetizing. The daily cleaning wasn't very good. The TV is very small. The wifi is extremely slow. The service and ambiance is pleasant, however. The location is superb... right next to the Deira City Centre Mall and the metro station.

Exceptional 10.0
Good stay and great price
Very nice hotel. Would rate it at least 3.5*. Nice staff, good security, very nice, clean, functional room with quick on hot water and the quietest air conditioner I have ever experienced in a hotel. The hotel is a very short walk to the hop on hop off bus, the metro and a gigantic supermarket. Would stay again without hesitation. Great price for what you get. Not in the center of things but then little is in Dubai as it is so spread out. If you want absolute center, Dubai Mall area is the place to stay but the prices will be at least triple what they are here. Was given two bottles of water daily.

Poor 2.0
1. Check in very slow. 2. Room full with smoking smell. 3. Bed sheet full with disgusting smell. 4. Smoking smell very strong surrounding the corridor. 5. Laundry service need to ASK then only inform we need to pay first then they only delivery. Very weird and my first time experienced so weird policy. 6. Service call from room to Receptionist, Housekeeping, Other, no one is accessible. 7. Front Desk (Algerian guy, thin and not so tall) attitude extremely worst and threaten my companion. 8. Etc... Summary, the worst Ibis I ever seen. No more next time.
