Small boutique hotel with some shortcomings.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, perfect for us as it was close to everything we needed to get to. so we were out for most of the time that we were in London. The rooms are small, so for a couple it was tight. it was even tighter with our bags there as well (we do travel with a least 2 large bags and 2 carry ons). we have never felt that sort of squeeze in other hotel rooms , so beware if you need space or if you suffer from claustrophobia. (as one of us does). The room temp was set to 32 degrees, so we turned on the air conditioning even though it was only 9 degrees outside! Furniture is on the budget side, with a mattress on a slat bed, it is low to the ground. Bathroom had tiles falling off the wall, and if upstairs had a shower, it leaked into our bathroom. It has the potential to be a beautiful hotel, it just is a bit shabby, and so we were disappointed, hence the neutral icon selection

Very good 8.0
Small but very nice hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and were always available to answer questions. Hotel is down the street from the British Museum and a five min walk from the tube. I walked almost everywhere. It is about a 30 min walk to Westminster Square. Would definitely stay again!

great stay
Nice hotel. Great location. We booked the suite with roof top access. The elevator did not go to top floor so it was difficult to get luggage to room in winding staircase. Room was great value for size in London. shower leaked all over floor because there is not a shower door.

Tired looking rooms but great location
Location and check in were great. The room itself was very tired looking (big crack in toilet cistern, stains on carpet and bedding), which meant it wasn't a very nice place to spend time in. Also toilet flush didn't really work and very very noisy plumbing when it did. Luckily we were out most of the time but it was extremely expensive for the quality. I guess that is to be expected central London but we would not stay there again.

Fair 4.0
We paid for a "city view" room but the room was facing another building and at reception they told me that no 'city view' existed even though this is how it is displayed on HOTELS.COM. The room had a double bed and barely any space around it (around probably 15inches). I had to pay an additional cost to upgrade to a 'superior' room, more similar to the picture on the website.
