Hotel was “sold out”
I had a confirmed reservation for Royal Solaris with a lagoon view. At checkin I was told they “oversold” and would love me to GR SOLARIS with an “upgraded” room. They shuttle us to the next hotel to find out that our upgraded room is a view of another hotel. I asked the front desk for the upgrade we were promised and the supervisor Anakaren said they have nothing available but we were welcome to go back to the original hotel if we wanted. The hotel that was oversold and has no rooms. Very disappointed with the service— no one here seems to care. I would NOT book here unless your ready to deal with unexpected changes and lies.

Poor condition hotel

This was my second time in Royal Solaris. My first stay was in 2018, we loved the place. This time, we wanted to go to the same place but we weren't happy with the service at all. Some of the staffs are really mean. We had lots of experiences that they kept my 2 years old waiting in the line for a service like food or a juice EVEN when it was our turn. To them the priority goes either to the members, to Spanish speaking's or to whoever pays more tip. On several occasions staff including the front desk gave me wrong information, caused me to lose an event. Like when on Halloween day, I asked them if they have any special activity for this day. The front desk lady said we only have something at 11 near the pool. Later I found the poster for Halloween day which included multiple activities the whole day. The same night in the theater I asked another staff who was part of the show, if that night, after the custom contest they have any dance? she said not in the theater but we will gather near the pool for dancing. We went back to our room and 30 mins later while I was putting my little one to bed, my husband went to the theater again finding out there was an interesting dance in the theater and there was nothing going on around the pool that night, so you tell me are they just not smart enough for the job or do they do it intentionally? Next time I go Cancun, for sure Royal Solaris is not my choice. If you have kids, I strongly discourage you to go to this place. Not kid friendly

I think the one thing about this is that upon arrival we had to pay a $5 fee for everyday stayed and for an all Inclusive I would’ve assumed that it would’ve been included in the price. That would be the only thing that would’ve been appreciated to know upon arrival .

Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Rooms are clean and spacious. But No real entertainment and not much of a beach to swim on. Food and drinks were horrible. I did manage to find a mixed fish stirfry made on the grill. I ate the same thing for 4 nights! Don't get fooled into doing the presentation. It's a waste of time!

We got a good experience, since we got there they let us checking early since our flight got there at 11am, the staff was great. Dalay in Las Fuentes Restaurant was awsome, also the girl at the Kid’s area was great with my kids. And also Alejandra from sales too. Overall a good experience the only thing I think they need to improve is the food is not bad but it could be way better. But we definitely will be back

During the entire stay, 1 of the 4 elevators was not working. The power went out twice, the first time it took a couple of hours to come back, during this time the elevators did not work, and the hotel only has emergency/service stairs, which have the service elevator and many times it was difficult to get through since the cleaning carts were there to move between floors. The next day the power went out again but now because of the hours, that meant that the rooms were left without water and air conditioning, the room was quite hot, and again going up to the room was too complicated due to the service stairs. The beach has no shade during the day, there are no palapas or umbrellas to spend time there, which prevents small children from enjoying the sand.
