Exceptional 10.0
Cool location! Family friendly! Go for jr suite!
Super location at start of Orchard Road. Next to Singapore Art Museum; Bras Basah MRT station; SG Management University, Cathay Mall and National Museum. Friendly staff. Great wi-fi. Good food. Great housekeeping. And a "handy phone"...with international free calls and free data. You could totally avoid buying a tourist SIM card. The bus stop is very prominent and connects to all across SG. We opted for the junior suite and it was well worth it. Club lounge access with a no-queue breakfast and evening complimentary cocktails is super. And complimentary laundry for 2 pieces everyday was a life saver. A lot of other food options are in the vicinity. SG is an easy city. From this hotel, you would be on the Orchard Road in under 10 minutes of walking time. A leisurely 30 minute walk would put you in Clarke Quay...I did not complete it though. If you don't plan to go out in the evening, the lobby plays movies every evening (with happy hours) or you could loan old movies from the limited collection at the concierge. For kids, carry your own DVDs. An in house tour desk can help you with planning your trip. SG is really some basic map reading and you would know the place by Day 2. Between MRT and buses, you could avoid taxis totally. Buy the tourist MRT card at the airport. Even better to reach the hotel by MRT.

customer service issue
I booked via My booking is with breakfast and free mini bar. After we settled in the room i was to check the mini bar but it was empty, I called the front desk and I ask her what can i consume in the mini bar, she said all, so I told her we've got nothing in the mini bar, then she reconfirmed my booking, I told her she can check my booking too in her system that mini bar is included in what i paid she sent someone to fill in the mini bar. The next morning we went for breakfast as it is included in the booking, the receptionist there said that the breakfast is only for 1 persons and asked me to sign the charge slip, I was so confused as we are late in the buffet so signed it thinking will settle later, but if you think about it you book for room for 2 why will you get and pay so much for 1 breakfast?! So we called so they can settle with the hotel directly as arguing with them is useless. confirmed that the booking is for 2 with breakfast for 2. We checked out without paying any extra buffet breakfast, but the hassle of stopping you in the entrance saying that our booking is just for 1 person and even asking you to sign a charge slip will make you lose your appetite. I hope that even if it's not a direct booking they can be careful in checking it and give the guest what they paid for.

Very good 8.0
Overall, my experience here was good. It is well located - close to Orchard Rd, the Singapore Museum and also the Singapore Art Gallery. The hotel restaurant is buffet style - well priced for what I had (just breakfast), and convenient if you don't want to look further afield at meal times. If you are feeling more adventurous, the restaurant choices in the neighbourhood tend to be bar-style places that do not serve great food, or food-hall style, as the hotel is in the not-altogether-charming CBD. Nevertheless, there is sufficient in the way of cheap, good fare. This is not the cheapest hotel around, but you get good value: the room was large and pleasant, and there are a pool and a gym which are both great for blowing away the travel cobwebs. It was hard to get information about hotel facilities though. There was a mobile phone provided in the room, but it was full of advertising about other hotels in the chain. I realised if there was anything I needed to know, I would just have to ask the desk staff or concierge, which could be irritating, as they were often busy. When free, they were certainly obliging, but really didn't volunteer any information, such as how to use the lifts. The concierge took my bag up and explained how things work, but I was not sure if this information required a larger tip than one would normally pay for bringing up bags. More information would be great, but on the whole I was happy with this hotel.

Poor 2.0
on the period from 05/07/2019 to 09/07/2019. I planned to stay all four nights in the same hotel. For two rooms, one for my parents and one for my gf and me. First of all, the incident is simple. My parents both keys suddenly failed to open the room door. He asked the front desk, and they said the room was not on their name, they asked verify my info including name, birthday and phone number, all correct but they did not give them the new key cards. Then why were they asking? Secondly, the hotel staff knowing my phone number from my parents, they knew that we are all from Macau, the country code can simply be searched on the internet. They claim that they thought the number is from singapore local. Well, after my arrival, the duty manager told me that even for a country code they took time to search. Wow, I am so impressed that your staff’s internet speed too so much time in searching a country code. THEY ARE SO WELL TRAINED. Thirdly, the staff’s attitude is really bad. I can say it is the worst that I have ever encountered. So arrogant. Even though they know the keys failure is on them, and also all the strange movement above, including telling lies in failed giving a call to me. The duty manager is just so arrogant. Giving an insincere apology, nearly cause my dad’s heart attack. I doubt that your company’s attitude and culture, as well as if this is the hotel

Super comfy Room, but yucky breakfast
Booked a 1-night stay cation with my hubby to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was clean and comfy. Reception staff were very polite too. We did not book the room that includes breakfast as such we decided to pay for the breakfast buffet. I had eaten the high tea buffet at Straits Cafe and it was good! However the breakfast that were served that day was terrible. I was really looking forward to enjoying the breakfast buffet in a 4 star hotel. I went straight for the sunny side up eggs and some fried kuey teow. The eggs very cold and the kuey teow was served in lumps and they were tasteless and oily. I waited for a new batch of eggs to be placed on the rack and told another one, it turned out to be cold as well. Then, i decided to try some pancakes with maple syrup [not waffles]. What could possibly go wrong for pancakes? The pancakes were hard and tough to chew. Cooked for myself a bowl of beef ball noodles soup and the soup was not hot at all. We also had to change our tables twice as the service staffs cleared the entire cutlery on our table when we were taking our food. I really don't mind them clearing the tables, but everything that were on it? Our drinks were still full. Also, there were less than 10 customers in the cafe at that time. To sum it all, I'll recommend staying at this hotel for the cleanliness and comfy of the room. You may skip the breakfast totally. The breakfast I had totally ruined the entire day. Really disappointed with the quality!
