Terrible - do not stay here
Fire alarm went off twice, once at 5am once at midnight. It’s not the fact of alarm going off, it’s the way the staff and managment handled this issue. Staff are poorly trained to deal with fire. We were trapped on 6 floor, as no signage. No staff came upstairs helping guests find which way to get out. Disabled people falling down stairs trying to get out - no help! We ended up in renovation part of hotel in dark. We were made to stand out in rain at 5 am in nightwear for 30 minutes - not allowed to stand nearby under archways so we would be dry. No in pouring rain. Fire alarm goes off again!!!!!! that night at midnight. I had jet lag and now have terrible flu. Ruined my trip because I was so ill. Managment hid away. Did not want face guests who were upset - instead sent around chocolate cake - what an insult!!!!

Close to the Palace, Mews etc
Great stay, allocated a new room, very quiet, good local pubs and food outlets. Staff very helpful as they helped by taking our cases to and from our room due a lift still to be commissioned for floor 6. Very close to the Palace, Mews etc. would recommend.

Very convenient location
This is a very large old hotel perfect for Victoria Station and Coach Station also tourist busses. Its entrance and foyer is very grand ,but some rooms at the back are basic and a little noisy.Shower is over the bath which is quite inconvenient for some.

Thr Grovesnor is in an excellent location and the service is mostly good. A couple of little things would make it better - hairdryer in the room, bathrobes - paying USD360 a night I would expect this. Also - having only brewed coffee available for breakfast was not up to par in my opinion.

Ideal location
The location of the hotel could not be better. Situated right above Victoria station it was 5min walking distance to the Victoria coach station. 10mins or so to the Buckingham palace. 20mins or so to Trafalgar Square, the national gallery and the natural history museum, V&A museum and approx 40mins to the British museum. Yep, we walked everywhere!! As to the few places where you need to catch the tube like the Tower of London, you do it right there from Victoria station, could not be more convenient to anything and everything! As to everything else, don’t expect too much. I don’t think it’s the hotel’s problem but just how things are in London. The buildings very old and smells a bit mouldy. Very basics in the hotel rooms, no slippers, no robes, no toothbrushes.. no complimentary water (though indicated on the website). Overall experience was okay, but again the convenience of the location trumps everything else.

meh
Unfortunately the hotel for the price was sorely average. The bed was lumpy/uneven. The front desk staff gave me dismissive directions to my room which were wrong. Was expecting some luxury but got the equivalent of a best western for a bigger price tag.

Comfortable room in a good location and friendly staff.

Great location
Great location, close to many attractions and transport. We had a deluxe, double room which was rather small with no space for luggage or cupboards/drawers for clothes. Staff were friendly although they seemed a little short staffed.

Long way to drag my luggages between lift and room.

Traveling Trio
This hotel is centrslly located above Victoria Station so buses and trains right there. Comfortable room and beds which was fine for 3 adults. Bathroom quite small but adequate. Lovely bar and foyer. Higjly recommend.
