APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE BY MANAGER (Alan)
The customer service during the check in was appalling. Absolute disgraceful to the name of such a great brand. I booked for 7 nights - my company and I often use Pullman’s because of the location and service. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to arrive at the hotel early on the day of check in. After explaining the situation, the staff called the manager - Alan. Knowing that he had rooms available( previous staff offered me upgrade for extra HKD800), he lied directly to my face and said the hotel was fully booked last night and he couldn’t do anything. Then when I mentioned that I knew there were rooms available - he said yes but he needs to charge me extra. I just needed somewhere to rest for. Few hours before my room was ready. Usually staff go above and beyond and upgrade for no extra cost for brand loyalty. But no, instead he asked if I can pay extra for half a day charge. When I did not want to pay, he said the only option is downgrading to a twin room. And not only for the few hours, but the full 7 days. I was shocked someone as a manager in hospitality industry would do something like this but I was too tired and out of energy to discuss any further. So I accepted it. Is he going to refund me for the discrepancies of the 2 rooms for 7 nights? No I also left a day early. I think this awful customer experience needed to be shared. On the other hand, Sony was extremely nice and deserves to be recognised for great customer service.

Worth the executive lounge access!
We stayed 4 nights for my birthday and we had a great impression of this hotel. Upon our arrival, I had a lovely card from the staff, plus extras that my husband organised, which were very good quality. The location is a gem. We used the free shuttle from HK station and was very easy. Heaps of stores and good eateries around, MTR also close. We went to Kowloon and Central without any difficulties. The room size is reasonable for HK, toiletries were high quality. I really enjoyed the yoga mat and yoga channel. We also used the gym which was very good for a hotel. Whilst the concierge and reception staff weren't as helpful, the hotel highlight has to be the executive lounge, particularly the staff. These guys are real and pure hospitality... we can't speak highly enough of David and the rest of the crew. They were concerned if we didn't have been serviced on time or if our drinks were going low. They even helped me to fix an issue with my carry on bag. Save yourself from spending at SKYE bar which is overpriced and pay the extra to get executive lounge access. You get a very well catered breakfast, drinks during the day, cocktails and a very good selection of wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks. in addition to nibbles (which were sufficient for dinner). Very well worthwhile! Would definitely stay there again.

Hope for better next time...
I booked a family room (2 queen beds) n twin room n I have asked for adjourning rooms. But upon check-in, in order to get both rooms on the same floor I had to settle for an old family room (1 sofa bed, 1 single bed & 1 queen bed). It was strange that the hotel reception told me she didn’t see any remarks about 2 queen beds even though it was reflected in my booking with hotel.com. In any case, we didn’t use the sofa bed as there were stains n worn out so we had 2 adults to squeeze in a single bed n it was tiring! Also as the hotel is under renovation, toilet flush supply on the whole floor was disrupted n we could not flush the toilet bowl for few hours! Besides that, other features of the hotel like location n service was fine -it’s not our first visit /stay at the hotel anyway.

Nice Staff - everything else - MEH
we arrived late the night we got in, as our flight was delayed, we ordered room service how ever we only got one plate delivered. we had to recall for our second plate, next morning we woke up to have breakfast intending on returning to bed to relax due to our flight delays the previous evening, how ever this was impossible due to the amount of noise coming from two floors down, the hotel was going through renovations and it just resonated straight into our floor. had we have know this we would not have booked this hotel. we spoke to the manager who gave us a late checkout, how ever its not like we could rest at all in our room. the bed in the room was so hard, normally used to getting a cloud like experience from hotel beds, but this was not one of them. we where situated ion room 2114, which was not close to the lifts, how ever, the constant moving hum of the lifts could be heard from our room all hrs of the day and night. I think the hotel needs a lot of work in this regard, including the shower in our suite, you couldn't enjoy the rain shower head unless you wanted to sit on the bath your entire shower. as standing under the shower head and shuffling around would mean you would keep getting hit in the knees from the bathtub due to its awkward position. the hotel definalty needs to work on these, how ever the staff where gracious and great to deal with. very helpful. we managed to swindle a booking to Lung King Heen which we where very gracious for, the sky bar was awesom

Best customer service in Hong Kong.
Great location. Close to great shopping in Times Square and great food. There is a supermarket close. What I love most is great service. Hannah was amazing and couldn't do enough to make my stay perfect. She also organised special pillow Andy a mattress topper to make the bed softer. She also went out of her way to say hello every day and was genuine and very polite. People can make or break a hotel experience. Matt. Auckland. NZ.
