Heartless
I booked this hotel using the hotels.com app while I was evacuating due to fire. When I searched for a pet friendly hotel, it came up as a a choice. An hour later when I arrived, I was told they most definitely do not allow dogs, even in emergency situations. The staff said I would need to contact hotels.com for a refund. When I called hotels.com, they were very understanding. They said sometimes they feed suggestions that do not fit filters when you search and they're are not enough results. They said the money was already sent to the hotel. They called the hotel while I was on the phone, they were told they needed to call the auditing department for the hotel and they were not available. Hotels.com said they would be contacting them and getting is a refund. I just received word back that the hotel refuses to refund me, despite the 1 hour booking time and the extreme circumstances. This is ridiculous and I feel taken advantage of when I was vulnerable.
