The Daffodil is conveniently located for easy access to Grasmere and the nearby lakes. It is ideal for a walking holiday and is surrounded by the beautiful Lakeland fells and lakes. The hotel staff are friendly and the hotel offers a good menu with a range of meals at reasonable prices.

The staff were superb and really made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The only blemishes were a table in our room that was damaged and should have been replaced plus there was a little mould on the shower sealant. Overall, an excellent hotel and we will definitely stay there again.

Loved the hotel and facilities. The Room had a wonderful view of the lake and was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful and the food fantastic. The biggest and best part of our stay were the staff. Friendly, attentive, and helpful. A huge plus for the hotel.

A lovely hotel just what I wanted to relax a little, staff were friendly, food was great maybe a little expensive but what I had I enjoyed. Breakfast was buffet style. Lovely location for a walk around the lake of grasmere and rydal water and also the rydal caves. Close to dove cottage and church Wordsworth connection. Would recommend to stay and hopefully I’ll be back myself 😃

Attentive staff, lovely food, lovely clean room. Spa was nice, but a bit small. The only issue was on check-in…" The toilet seat in our room was seriously cracked / dangerous, and as no maintenance personnel were available, we had to change room. Efficiently resolved, but wasn’t something we should have had to deal with.

We stayed to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday and although we had a slight issue with the booking (expedia’s fault not theirs) the staff were brilliant upgrading our room and leaving a lovely card and chocolates for my husband. Also after dinner they presented my husband with a Happy Birthday plate with fruit and chocolates. The spa pool was lovely and relaxing. All the hotel staff were very friendly and chatty. We will definitely go back again.

Nice hotel but improvements could be made

Had an enjoyable stay, however, spa pool wasn't the warmest but ok. Food choice limited and the mains expensive and food very rich. I had lamb and felt it need some green beans or something as very sweet. The bed was a bit uncomfortable as could feel springs.
